The short answer

When positioning gets written, you want the public verbatims of people switching to and from each player, so the story matches the real reasons, not the assumed ones. Adveron surfaces that conversation: the posts where people explain what they left, what they chose, and why, across the communities where those explanations get written.

Switching verbatims, public

The posts where people explain what they left, what they chose, and why.

Both directions

Who switches to each player and who switches away, across the communities where those stories get written.

Positioning that matches reality

The story gets written from real reasons, not assumed ones.

How it works

Switching stories are the rawest positioning research there is, and much of it is already public: people narrate their tool changes and brand defections in forums, reviews, and replies, usually with the specific trigger named. The problem is that it is scattered across platforms and buried in general chatter, so positioning gets written from win-loss anecdotes and internal assumption instead.

Pulling the switching conversation for your competitive set turns that into a reading session: the verbatims of people arriving at each player and leaving it, in their own words, with links to the original posts. It will not replace formal win-loss interviews, but it puts the public half of the story on the table before the messaging hardens around the assumed one.

Questions teams ask

Does this replace win-loss interviews?

No, it complements them. Interviews reach the buyers who will talk to you; public verbatims come from people with no reason to be polite. Positioning written against both is harder to argue with than either alone.

How do I find the switching posts among general mentions?

Switching talk has recognizable language, people name what they moved from and to and usually the trigger. Querying the mention stream for that pattern across your competitive set narrows a firehose to a readable set of verbatims.
